We're a family taking the long way home — a drive across the country with the kids and the dogs to see just how big it is.

This site is our journal. At every stop we jot down what happened, what surprised us, and what we'd tell a friend who came after: where to eat, what to skip, when to get there early. When a stop is done, we publish it here for family, friends, and anyone else along for the ride.
